Handcrafted Boards Made With Purpose
Thoughtfully Made Cutting Boards Shaped by Time, Care, and Skill
Thoughtfully Crafted, One Board at a Time
At Bump's Hobby Cutting Boards, no two boards are ever the same-because no two pieces of wood are ever alike. Every cutting board is made by hand with patience, purpose, and pride. What began as a retirement hobby has grown into a decade-long passion for creating pieces that are both functional and beautiful.
A Lifetime of Skill in Every Cut
I'm a 75-year-old craftsman who discovered woodworking later in life. For the past 10 years, I've been shaping, sanding, and finishing custom cutting boards that consistently earn one response: "You should sell these." So here we are. Each board represents years of refined skill, careful attention to detail, and the joy that comes from making something meaningful with your hands.
No Patterns, No Shortcuts, Just Honest Craftsmanship
Measurements may vary by a quarter inch over or under-because every board is shaped by the wood itself. I don't follow strict patterns. Instead, I work with what's available at the time, combining different woods in ways I believe look good and feel right. That's what makes each board truly one of a kind.
